Gratitude. The only obstacle to being thankful is simply not observing with attention. We grow used to our blessings and we start taking them for granted, without realizing that they truly are blessings.
For instance, we take for granted having running water out of a tap – but go camping for three days and you will quickly notice how difficult and time-consuming the most common tasks become when you don’t have running water.
You can overcome the tendency of taking things for granted by dedicating some time daily to developing an attitude of gratitude. Perhaps keep a gratitude journal, or sit calmly in the morning when you first wake up and reflect on the things you have to be thankful for.
A little secret to getting what you want…
Feeling gratitude not only puts you in a good mood, but it is also a way to invest in positive energy and it helps you to get what you want.
1. Be grateful for what you already have.

2. Declare what you would like to have with positive emotion.

3. Act on the opportunities that appear in front of you.
